The International Assignment Services (IAS) Group provides comprehensive tax compliance and related consulting services to multinational corporate and individual clients from California to New York. The IAS practice combines the high quality technical expertise generally found in the Big 4 Accounting firms with the responsive, personal services regional firms are known for, creating a rewarding work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review US individual tax returns for expatriates & inpatriates, tax equalization and protection calculations
  • Supervises US federal and state tax research on individual tax issues and communication to clients
  • Coordinate global compliance and consulting services through the Leading Edge Alliance - an international network of independent public accounting firms
  • Work with clients to develop year end expat payroll process
  • Review compensation summaries prepared by seniors and staff
  • Provide tax efficient planning for outbound and inbound assignees
  • Handle administrative responsibilities including billing and interviewing candidates
  • Progress professionally by staying current with federal and state tax law changes and attending continuing professional education classes
  • Senior and staff training and mentoring

  • Solid individual tax technical skills relative to experience

  • Ability to successfully multi-task projects and delegate work
  • Highly motivated self-starter who enjoys taking ownership of work
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop client relationships
  • Experience with Prosystems and BNA Tax planner preferred

Educational & Experience Requirements

  • BS/BBA/BA Accounting or finance related field
  • 5-7 years of professional experience, preferably in Public Accounting
  • CPA license or JD required
  • Experience working in international tax required
