Partner/In-House/Senior Associate often supervises less experienced lawyers. Responsibilities often include first-chair litigation, extensive client consultation, and case strategy and management. Requires extensive knowledge of the law and a high degree of expertise. Many candidates maintain portable books of business.

Mid-Level Associate duties include second-chair litigation practice, negation and review, and legal research and writing.

Junior Level Lawyer performs legal research and writing, contract drafting, client interviews, and deposition and discovery work under the supervision of a mid-level or senior associate.

Paralegal works closely with lawyer on high-profile legal matters. Supervises discovery and litigation support teams. Position requires advanced knowledge of the law and legal procedures along with superior leadership and management skills. Experience in a specific legal practice area is highly preferred.

Legal Secretary maintains lawyer’s calendar, scheduling, and billing.

Legal Word Processor creates basic transcriptions and document preparation.
